Introduction

Working from home can be a great way to save money and keep your schedule flexible. But working from home can also make it hard to stay focused, especially if you don’t have many coworkers around to keep you on track. Luckily, there are plenty of ways to stay productive in your own space—even if that space is small! Here are five tips for keeping yourself productive while working solo:

Start your day with a strategy session.

The first thing you should do when you arrive at work is to set aside time to review your strategy for the day. This can be as simple as making a list of tasks that need completing and prioritising those tasks. It’s important not just because it helps you plan out your day better, but also because it gives you a sense of accomplishment when everything gets done!

Take a break.

Taking a break can be one of the most productive things you do. It allows your brain to re-energize and gives your body a chance to rest, which can help reduce stress levels.

Take regular breaks throughout the day–don’t just take them in one huge chunk at lunchtime or when you get home from work. Try taking five minutes every hour or so to stretch, walk around, drink some water and get some fresh air (if possible). If possible try not eating during these breaks as it can make it harder for you to concentrate afterwards.

It’s also important not just how often but how long each break lasts for: between 15-20 minutes is ideal – any longer than this and we risk becoming distracted again before getting back into our work flow properly!

Make an appointment with yourself.

You can’t be productive if you don’t make time for what is important to you. The more we try to please everyone else, the less we are able to do for ourselves. When someone asks for your help or advice, say no if it isn’t something that needs done right away and doesn’t coincide with your priorities or goals at this time. Don’t feel guilty about saying no!

If there’s something that needs doing but falls into one of those categories above (it doesn’t have anything specifically do with my job description), I will ask myself: “How long would it take?” If my answer is longer than an hour or two hours then I know this task needs its own block of time dedicated exclusively towards working on it so that nothing else gets in the way while I’m working on it; this way productivity increases because there aren’t any distractions from other projects/tasks/people etcetera…

Keep your workspace tidy and organized.

Your workspace should be a place of order and organization. This will help you stay focused, reduce stress, and get more done in less time.

Organizing your workspace is an important part of productivity because it makes it easier for you to find what you need when it’s time to start working on a project or task. It also helps keep clutter out of sight so that when people come into your office space they don’t see anything that might distract them from their work (or yours!).

Stand up and move around every few hours.

It’s easy to get stuck in a rut when you’re working from home, especially if you’re sitting at your desk for hours on end. However, getting up and moving around can help increase productivity by boosting energy levels and concentration. Try standing up for five minutes every hour or so–even if that means just walking over to the kitchen or bathroom!

Conclusion

We hope these tips will help you stay productive and focused on the job. Remember, your office is a workspace, not just a place to sit and work! The more comfortable and well-organized it is, the more likely you are to spend time there doing what needs done instead of worrying about distractions.

If you want to increase your productivity, set clear goals and be accountable for meeting them. When your goals are visible and measurable, it’s easier to stay on top of them and reach your target. Next, make sure that you’re getting enough sleep and eating well – you can achieve much more when you take care of yourself. Finally, get out into nature – any activity that gets you into nature for a bit has been shown to boost creativity.
